If I recall correctly, the entire point to the IBA was the fact that it could carry all your stuff, AND be quickly removed in case of injury, etc. Wearing the LBV directly OVER the body armor adds weight, another layer to retain heat, and most importantly, completely nullifies the quick release feature of the body armor. Way to go 1st CAV! I hope this looks good on someone’s OER.
